Open-access Educational leadership and the strategic integration of ICT in the learning continuum: a systematic literature review

Abstract

Educational leadership should not only focus on improving academic outcomes, but also on promoting an organizational culture that fosters technological innovation as a tool to optimize teaching and learning processes. This study examines the role of educational leadership in the strategic integration of ICTs, in order to anticipate future challenges and ensure learning continuity. It was approached using a qualitative approach and literature review, conducting a search of academic databases, from which 61 articles were collected, of which 10 were selected and analyzed, meeting specific criteria. One of the main conclusions is that educational leadership is fundamental not only to improving education today, but also to preparing students for the challenges of the digital world. Educators who assume proactive leadership, supported by appropriate strategies and policies, can not only ensure learning continuity, improve educational quality, and equip students with the necessary skills to face technological challenges and take advantage of future opportunities.
